Fenella was an artistic gymnast when she was younger, competing at county level. She left her gymnastics journey at the age of 13. Fenella discovered aerial acrobatics when she was 28 and trained at Paradise Fitness in Fareham (now closed).

Fenella gave up her career as a pharmacist in April 2018 to open Luna Acrobatics and Aerial Arts.
